How can I cycle through dashboards on my TV?

At Librato we have a 50” flat screen TV on the wall constantly rotating through multiple dashboards that give us a real time view of the health of our service. The TV is hooked to a Mac mini running Chrome.

We generate read only links for our most important dashboards, load them into tabs in Chrome and then use the Revolver or AutoTabCycle Chrome plugin to rotate through the tabs every 20 seconds.

Both plugins have the option to reload the page every time it is shown. Make sure to disable that.

The reason we use shared links is that we don’t have to remember login credentials. So any time the computer needs an upgrade or a reboot all we have to do is open the bookmarked dashboards. If you are planning on using a different device like a Raspberry Pi or an Android mini PC you can use Taberific.
